Non-Profit 501(c)3

Texas Christian Homeschool Prom, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, recognized by the state of Texas as such.

Governed by the TxCHP Board of Directors, this organization exists to provide and support this annual event for the local homeschooling community and beyond.

It can only accomplish its goals and remain a non-profit event by engaging each family to complete family service credits for each student who will attend.

Prom Purpose Statement

The Texas Christian Homeschool Prom mission is to allow high school age homeschooled students and their guests to experience a wonderful evening that will be treasured for a lifetime, and to provide the opportunity to acquire proper social graces in a safe and supportive environment.

TxCHP Leadership

The TxCHP Board of Directors is not like most non-profit boards. Each member is actively engaged in the planning process for the annual prom. The board meets monthly in person, plus multiple extra times during prom season (from the opening of ticket sales in January until prom is held in the late spring).
This is a volunteer group. All Board members and executives in the organization serve all year long to accomplish the goals of the board and to produce the incredible prom each year.
We also engage a mission circle and general circle of leaders to oversee individual areas of prom. Circle leaders and the captains, skippers, and team members who serve with them are selected via interview process and all serve in volunteer positions during prom after participating in the mandatory prom staff training sessions.

These positions are all non-paid roles within TxCHP.
