Ticket Transfer Guidelines

All prom purchases are non-refundable, but Ticket, Companion Voucher, Group Seating, and Photo Package purchases are transferable within these guidelines:

  • Prom tickets have sold out and/or tickets sales have closed.
  • You may transfer your ticket, Companion Voucher, Photo Package, and Group Seating purchases to another person as long as they meet the eligibility criteria until ((Deadline Day – March 25, 2025)).
  • You initiate the transfer from your Family Dashboard under “Family Profile.”
  • All financial arrangements are strictly between the original purchaser and the recipient.
  • Scalping activities are strictly prohibited, and we reserve the right to cancel tickets without refund if scalping is suspected.

If you need a way to connect with people who may want to buy (or sell), you may use the TxCHP Ticket Forum on Facebook to find people who need a ticket or who have tickets available, then initiate a Transfer Request from your Family Dashboard. The TxCHP Ticket Forum is only provided as a courtesy to TxCHP Families. We strongly recommend checking with PromTickets@TxCHP.com to confirm that someone listing a ticket for sale actually has one they are allowed to sell (or that a buyer is registered on the TxCHP website before attempting to purchase from you).

Ticket Transfer Tips

  • Access the Transfer Request from your Dashboard, under “Family Profile.”
  • Items may only be sold for the actual amount paid – NO SCALPING is allowed of prom items.
  • When transferred, Tickets and Companion Vouchers are interchangeable. A Companion Voucher may be converted to a Ticket, and a Ticket may be converted to a Companion Voucher.
  • Please note that Friday items are only transferrable for use on Friday. And Saturday items are only transferrable for use on Saturday.
  • The recipient must be registered for prom before the transfer can be completed.
  • All Transfer Requests are reviewed by the ((Ticketing & Registration Team)). The requestor and recipient will be notified when transfers are complete. This can sometimes take several days depending on the volume of transfers.
  • There are no transfer fees.

Please contact the Registration Team if you have further questions.

Transfer FAQs

I bought a ticket and now I can’t go to prom or I won’t be using the companion voucher I bought. Ticket sales are closed. Do I just lose my money?

You may transfer your ticket, Companion Voucher, Photo Package, and Group Seating purchases to another person as long as they meet the eligibility criteria until ((Deadline Day – March 25, 2025)).

How can I find someone who wants my ticket and other purchases?

If prom sells out, the TxCHP Ticket Forum on Facebook is available for anyone who wants to post a ticket for sale or a ticket wanted note.

When can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

After prom sells out or ticket sales are closed. All transfers must be completed by ((Deadline Day – March 25, 2025))

Does the person who buys my ticket have to do the prom task I selected?

No. Please remove yourself from that task, and the purchaser of your ticket may select a task of their choosing. If they would like to serve in the role you previously selected, that can be arranged through the Family Service Lead at prom parents@txchp.com.

We use this forum to facilitate the offering of tickets by those who are now unable to attend TxCHP’s annual prom to prospective buyers who were unable to purchase tickets during the general sales.

Forum users selling their prom tickets have the right to select any buyer that they wish and in any order that they wish. That is NOT something that TxCHP can control.
