Student Ticket Purchase Checklist

This list may help you prepare for the day ticket sales open. All Prom purchases are non-refundable.

  1. I am eligible to purchase a ticket.
  2. My prom registration is complete with at least one adult family member and one student registered.
  3. All members of my family have uploaded a photo to our Family Dashboard.
  4. I am able to pay with a debit card, credit card, or PayPal account.
  5. I have decided if I will also purchase a Companion Voucher – because when tickets are sold out, Companion Vouchers are sold out, too.
  6. I have talked to my friends about which night of prom we plan to attend.
  7. I have talked to my friends about which one of us will host the Group Seating.
  8. My parents/guardians are prepared to satisfy the Adult Participation requirement.

Student Ticket FAQ

  • Student tickets and Companion Vouchers are $150 each.
  • Tickets will be sold for 10 days, or until they are sold out.
  • Historically, tickets sell out quickly. so please plan accordingly.
  • No paper tickets will be issued. If your student does not have a smartphone, we will be able to look up their ticket in our system.

Eligible Students

Home-Schooled students and University Model-Schooled students are ELIGIBLE to purchase a student ticket for themselves AND a companion voucher for one alumnus or high school aged friend, if you:

  • Are at least 14, but no older than 18 as of September 1 of this school year, and 
    • Are currently homeschooled or enrolled in a 2-3 day University Model school, and
    • Are listed as a student on your family’s TxCHP Dashboard, and
    • Have uploaded a current photo to the Student Profile page on your family’s TxCHP Dashboard
    • Purchase a student ticket OR redeem a companion voucher which has been purchased by another student 
    • Have a family member complete the Family Service Credit for each student ticket and companion voucher purchased as per the Family Service Credit Policy

Companion Voucher Eligibility

Alumni (have graduated from high school) are eligible to redeem a TxCHP companion voucher purchased by an eligible student, if you:

    • Possess a companion voucher (purchased by an eligible student) redeemed in your name, and
    • Are no older than 20 on the Day of Prom, and
    • Are listed as a student on your family’s TxCHP Dashboard, and
    • Have uploaded a current photo to the Student Profile page on your family’s TxCHP Dashboard

Non-Homeschooled Students

Non-homeschooled students (those attending public school, virtual public school, or private schools) are eligible to redeem a TxCHP companion voucher purchased by an eligible student, if you:

    • Possess a companion voucher (purchased by an eligible student) redeemed in your name, and
    • Are at least 14 as of September 1st of this school year, and 
    • Are no older than 20 on the Day of Prom, and 
    • Are listed as a student on your family’s TxCHP Dashboard, and
    • Have uploaded a current photo to the Student Profile page on your family’s TxCHP Dashboard
