Invite Your Friends to Sit with You

If you have requested or purchased Group Seating, congratulations! You are the Group Host. You have the privilege and responsibility to invite your friends to sit with you at prom. Group Hosts are automatically seated with the group, so please don’t request or purchase Group Seating if you do not intend to sit with that group! Each student may only request or purchase one Group Seating Group Seating may be purchased anytime after ticket sales open on Thursday, January 16, 2025, and all Group Seating Rosters must be completed by Tuesday, March 25, 2025. All prom purchases are non-refundable.

Group Seating Options

Choose to request or purchase a Group Seating based on the number of people in your group.

Linked Group Seatings

If your group would like to sit at a table adjoining another specific group of friends, you can link your seating. As a Group Seating Host, you can request that your Group Seating be linked to another Group Seating when specifying your Group Seating Preferences. You will need to know the name of the student who is the Group Seating Host for the group you wish to be adjoining. Sorry, mini groups cannot be linked with another group.

How to Fill Your Group Seating Roster

Go to your Family Dashboard and click on the icon next to “Group Seating Roster.” Enter the email address of the recipient (must be the same email address as on their prom account) and click Submit. A confirmation email will be sent to both you and your guest. Your guest is not required to take any action to be confirmed on your roster.

Should plans change, both you and your guest have the option to remove their name from your roster. In that case, both you and your guest will be notified of the change. You will be free to put someone else on your Group Seating Roster, and they will be free to be on a different Group Seating Roster

"Empty" Seats

Group Seating Reservations close on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. At that time, any unused seats are released back into the prom seating inventory and will be assigned to other students. All confirmed group members will still be seated together.

Transfers

Group Seating may be transferred to another student at the request of the original purchaser until Tuesday, March 25, 2025. You must fill out a transfer request, and transfers are not final until approved and completed by a member of the prom team. Group Seating purchases are non-refundable.

Group Seating FAQ

How much does group seating cost?

Groups of 1-3 people may request a Mini Group for no cost. Group Seating for Small Groups of 4-6 is $36. Large Group Seating for large groups of 7-12 is $72.

What happens to the other seats at the table if I don't completely fill my group seating reservation?

All remaining seats that are not filled by the Group Host by the Group Seating deadline of Tuesday, March 26, 2024, will be assigned to smaller groups, which will fill each table to the maximum number of seats at the table.

I am coming with just a couple of friends, and we want to sit together, Do I have to pay for group seating?

No. Groups of 1-3 people may request Mini Group Seating, which allows you to be seated together and does not require a purchase. Mini Groups are not eligible to link their reservations with another group. You must remove or decline your Mini Group Seating to sit in a Small or Large Group Seating Reservation, and may do so anytime until the deadline of Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

All students must sign up for one of the Group Seating options or be invited to one of the Group Seating options in order to be seated in the ballroom for dinner. Guests are not automatically seated with their host.

How do I request mini group seating?

From your Family Dashboard, locate the name of the student who will be the Mini Group Host. They must have a ticket and their email must be confirmed. A link to sign up for a mini-group will be available beside the Group Seating icon under their name.

What is a group seating host?

The person who requests a Mini Group (1-3 people) or purchases a Small (4-6) or Large (6-12) is the Group Host. They are automatically seated with the group. Hosts are responsible to prepare the Group Seating Roster, adding and deleting members as appropriate until the deadline of Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Will the person who redeemed my companion voucher automatically be seated with me?

No. Hosts should coordinate Group Seating arrangements for their guests, as all students must be on a Group Seating Roster to be seated in the ballroom for dinner. Guests are not automatically seated with their host.

How can I be removed from a group seating roster?

The Group Host can delete any group member from the Roster.

You may also decline yourself by going to your Family Dashboard, then click on the link that says "View/Decline Group Seating" under your name.

How do I find my seating in the Ballroom?

Each table in the ballroom is numbered. Adult volunteers are available to help you find your table once you enter the ballroom.

Can I transfer my group seating purchase?

Yes. Submit a Transfer Request and we'll let you know when the transfer is complete. The transfer must be made by the deadline of Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Group Seating is non-refundable.
